Denmark is considered one of the most digital and entrepreneur-friendly nations in the world. The country is a great option for foreign entrepreneurs who are looking to launch their startup idea in the European market. Upto three non-EU/EEA and non-Swiss citizens can submit a business plan as a team to start their startup visa application. The Danish startup visa is initially offered for a two-years residence and can be extended further with three-year intervals.

If the business plan is approved by the Startup Denmark expert panel the applicants must apply individually for a residence and work permit at the Danish embassy in their country of residence. A non-EU/EEA citizen can also submit a business plan together with EU/EEA citizens if they are a part of their start-up team. However, EU/EEA citizens do not need to apply for a residence card or work permits to stay and work in Denmark.
